When I was a kid, for a few years there, the coolest person on the planet was Alex P. Keaton from Family Ties. This was largely because of how cool Marty McFly was in Back to the Future, but Michael J. Fox’s rocketing to household-name status was due to his role as Alex P. Keaton. I was in elementary school, and Alex was the man. He was funny, smart, and had style.
