Projects on the horizon

Projects on the horizon

You've probably already seen this if you follow me on Bluesky, but I wanted to take a little time to talk about a short film that I wrote, which will be coming soon to film festivals. (I'll be sure to post here as I find where it will be screening.)

The short film is called KREASTER and is an appetizer for a feature-length film (already written) called PENTECOST. Both pieces deal with a sinister force that takes over a small town. Both of these projects are a few years in the making, and I'm extremely pleased with our first trailer for the short film, which was fantastically directed by my longest-term collaborator, Jacob Cooney.

Jacob and I have been writing and creating together since we were both in film school together in the early 2000s. Among our co-written projects include several movies for The Asylum, and The Assault, an action thriller starring Tom Sizemore and Kevin Nash that was released in 2017. Jacob directed that one, too.

I'm thrilled that KREASTER will be coming out for people to see soon, and it's a very talented and energized team that's responsible for it looking so good. I hope that we'll be able to realize our end goal of seeing the full PENTECOST film to production, but at least we were able to get the short out into the world.

Thanks for indulging me. More indulgences after the break!
